Here you will find advice and instructions that you request from us the most and that have originated from our multi-year experience in the business. Please read carefully because you might avoid a lot of fuss!

We have to follow an order of processes that will reduce the bathroom’s construction time and the result will be appropriate to our design, without surprising incidents and compromises due to errors or lack of communication between construction workers.

Bathroom cleaning can be an easy task for a landlady but we should always be aware of the supplier’s specifications so that our sanitaryware, shower cabins, bath furniture and faucets keep their inital properties for a long time
REPLACING
THE WC COVER
Replacing the toilet seat cover is not an easy task. There is not a generic model that fits every WC, every manufacturer produces a different kind of cover for every model. If you don’t buy the right kind of toilet seat to replace the old one, then it is very possible that the new one does not “stand” correctly on the WC resulting in the cracking or breakage and we would have to start over again.

Bathroom design steps
- Like every space, bathroom design has to start with a floor plan and not with the plumber! If we make the floor plan ourselves then we have to draw the wall lines in a piece of paper as we would see our bathroom from the top. Within this wall lines we will place (or the bathroom designer) sanitaryware, the shower cabin, the bath furniture, the window, the door with dimensions.
- Then you would have to bring this plan to us to help you choose the sanitaryware which is in direct correlation with the floor plan as only we can tell you whether the products you are planing to use can fit where you want or propose likable alternatives.
- Ιn this step we will let you know if you need a plumber for your renovation and we will guide him according to the products chosen. Your chosen products might need special installation instructions. If you call the plumber yourself, without our advice first, then there is the danger that your chosen products might not fit in your space and you would have to compromise with different choices but also you might have to uninstall your already installed products later on.
- Then we choose tiles and we call the tile installer to give us a quote.
- We build the final order and we bring the products to your home. It’s time to begin your works!
A guide on how to replace your toilet seat
- Take a picture of the WC including its cover with your mobile and a second photo of the whole WC set toilet-seat cover-cistern.
- If you don’t know the model then look on the WC set itself, there is a chance that the manufacturer is written on it. If you have the purchase invoice you can look for the manufacturer and the model on it.
- Put a piece of carton on the toilet and hold a marker pen upside down. Mark the outline of the cover seat onto the carton. Then cut the outline with a pair of scissors and mark the seat holes at the correct position so that we know where the support set of screws is placed in relation to the cover seat.
- Bring us any clue available from steps 1,2 or 3 and we will find the proper toilet seat for you from the large selection we have and different qualities to choose from (ABS, PVC, Bakelite, etc). In case we can’t find any that fits, even then we can make a custom order based on your measurements to a special carpenter.
Bathroom cleaning
Bathtub & Porcelain
First of all, housewives need to understand that bathtubs are NOT a carpet and quilt laundry. Any kind of chemical or detergent that contains chlorine or other caustic substances permanently destroys the gloss of all types of baths. That’s why we have to take care of bathtubs and sanitary ware with gentle commercial cleaners such as creams (eg CIF) that do not contain chlorine. Then rinse with plenty of water. The same goes for sinks, basins, furniture marbles, etc. Furniture wood does not need any cleaners, only a cloth or VETTEX with water. If there is a difficult stain then we should consult the manufacturer of the item
Bath Furniture
As far as the wood surfaces are concerned, the cleaning can be done with VETTEX or a cloth soaked in lukewarm water and then passed with a dry cloth or kitchen paper. The care of the sink and the marble follow the instructions for the maintenance and cleaning of the porcelain
Shower panels
Shower panels are made of glass and aluminum profiles. The glass needs attention to the cleaning with gentle movements as with some hasty or violent movement we can take the crystal out of the guides and break it with unpleasant results and several dangers despite the fact that now all the crystals are made of safety crystals and crumble. These can therefore be cleaned with anti-salt liquid (viakal type) and should definitely be rinsed with plenty of water. Ajax for glazed windows will unfortunately do nothing. The same tactic can be followed in spring-loaded profiles. Chemicals should never be left on the profiles as they will corrode the chrome.
